1. Service Description

CVFox provides AI-powered career tools designed to help job seekers succeed:

• CV/Resume Review: Upload your CV for AI-driven sentence-level analysis with quality ratings (green/orange/red), grammar corrections, rephrasing suggestions, and improved text recommendations. Includes overall scores for completeness, uniqueness, and success potential.
• Arbeitszeugnis Analysis (Free): Upload any German employment reference for sentence-by-sentence grading on the German 1–5 scale, with decoded hidden meanings and coded phrase detection. This feature is free for all users without registration.
• AI-Powered Job Discovery: Describe your ideal role in natural language and our AI scans hundreds of live web sources including job boards, company career pages, and employer review platforms to find matching opportunities.
• Application Writing: AI-generated cover letters, resumes, and motivation letters with 50+ industry-specific templates and built-in AI detection checks.
• Bilingual Support: Full English and German language support across all features.

2. Account Registration & Security

You may create an account using email and password or through Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse, fraud, or violation of these terms. For security purposes, accounts are temporarily locked after 5 consecutive failed login attempts, with a 15-minute cooldown period.

3. Free Tier

The free tier includes:

• 1 CV review with 50% of the analysis visible (remaining content blurred)
• 3 AI-written applications per month
• 1 industry template
• AI detection check
• Unlimited free Arbeitszeugnis (employment reference) analysis
• 1 fully visible result per job discovery search (remaining results blurred)

No credit card is required to use the free tier.

4. Pro Subscription ($19/month)

The Pro plan is a recurring monthly subscription billed via Stripe. It includes:

• Unlimited CV reviews with full, unblurred results
• Unlimited AI-written applications
• Access to all 50+ industry-specific writing templates
• Full job discovery results with direct links to all listings
• Priority support

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Lifetime Access ($49 One-Time)

Lifetime Access is a one-time payment that grants permanent Pro-tier access to CVFox. This offer is limited to the first 500 customers. Lifetime Access includes all current and future Pro features for as long as CVFox operates.

Lifetime purchases are non-refundable after 14 days from the date of purchase. In the unlikely event that CVFox ceases operations, lifetime customers will receive at least 12 months advance notice.

6. Payment & Billing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe (stripe.com). CVFox never stores, sees, or has access to your credit card numbers or payment card data. Monthly subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date. You can manage your subscription, update payment methods, or view invoices through the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from the account menu in the CVFox header.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

Monthly Pro subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the Stripe subscription management portal. After cancellation, you retain access to all Pro features until the end of your current billing period.

Refund requests for monthly subscriptions within 14 days of the most recent charge are handled on a case-by-case basis. Lifetime Access purchases are non-refundable after 14 days from the date of purchase.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All content produced by CVFox — including CV reviews, writing suggestions, cover letters, job discovery matches, Arbeitszeugnis analysis, and improvement recommendations — is generated by artificial intelligence and provided as a starting point.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated output before using it in any professional context. CVFox does not guarantee the accuracy of AI analysis, the correctness of grammar suggestions, the quality or availability of matched job listings, or any specific employment outcomes.

9. Intellectual Property

Content generated by CVFox specifically for you (cover letters, CV improvements, application drafts) is yours to use without restriction. You retain full ownership of all personal data and documents you upload.

CVFox retains all rights to its platform, source code, algorithms, AI models, industry templates, brand assets, and user interface design. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or redistribute any part of the service.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload malicious files, viruses, or executable code
• Use the service to create fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive job applications
• Attempt to circumvent the paywall, rate limits, or access restrictions
• Automate access via bots, scrapers, or similar tools without written permission
• Use the service to generate content that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Share your account credentials with third parties
• Resell or commercially redistribute CVFox-generated content as a service

11. Data Processing & Privacy

Your use of CVFox is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at cv-fox.com/privacy. By using CVFox, you acknowledge that:

• Uploaded documents are processed by OpenAI's API for AI analysis
• Job discovery uses OpenAI's Responses API with web search capabilities
• Payment data is processed by Stripe
• Analytics data may be collected via PostHog (EU-hosted) and Google Analytics (with your consent where required)

12. Limitation of Liability

CVFox is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, interview callbacks, or the accuracy of any AI-generated content or job listing data.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CVFox's total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the total amount you have paid to CVFox in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Planned maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the entire service with reasonable notice to registered users.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of CVFox is established. All disputes arising from or in connection with these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
